2014 - The Wash Up

Organisers of this year’s Narrathon were more than a little nervous on the weekend prior to the event, as Sydney’s coastline was again subject to huge seas and dangerous conditions that would have seen the event called off. Fortunately, conditions eased during the week with by far the very best conditions presenting themselves – on Thursday! ANZAC Day saw the southerly pick up for a again, dampening the spirits of all but the hardiest of returned service men and women. By race day however, the wind and swell had turned more to the nor’east, and we had a good day on our hands.

Last minute entries will be accepted only prior to the start on Race Day. Note that late entries on Race Day will incur a late entry fee ($80 per individual and $240 per team.)

It's Narrathon Time again!

In just a few short weeks, we'll be kicking off the 5th Narrathon, and the entries are already starting to roll in.

With the Surf Life Saving NSW State Titles coming to a conclusion, there is now only the Aussies between us and Narrathon 2014. For those of you coming from further afield, with ANZAC day on the day before the event it is the perfect opportunity to make a long weekend of it. There is plenty of accommodation nearby either at the Lakeside Caravan Park or the Sands Hotel.

We look forward to welcoming you at Narrabeen very shortly for some healthy competition.

Age Categories for 2015!

As agreed last year, we will be sticking to the same age categories introduced last year, Team Narrathon has streamlined the number of age categories from 5 to 4 categories

Specifically:

* The Under 21's
* The 21 through to 39 years
* The 40-49 Years, and
* The 50+ Years.

We hope that this makes the presentation a little shorter, and opens up the younger age groups to more intense competition.
